Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Free Spicy ("we", "us") handles personal data when you use freespicy.io (the "Service").
1. What we collect
- Account data: your email address, a hash of your password (never the password itself), your age and terms confirmation, and your public handle if you set one.
- Content: prompts, images, videos and audio you upload, characters you save, and the videos generated for you.
- Payments: the amount, package, status and transaction reference of each purchase. Card and wallet details are entered on the payment processor's page and are never sent to us.
- Usage and security data: the IP address and time of your last login, the time you were last active, consent records you submit, moderation decisions and reports, and server logs with IP addresses.
- Referral data: the affiliate code or traffic source that brought you to us, if any.
2. Why we use it
- to provide the Service: run your account, generate and store your videos, and keep your credit balance;
- to process payments, refunds and chargebacks;
- to enforce our Terms: automated moderation of prompts, uploads and outputs, abuse and fraud prevention, and handling reports and legal requests;
- to send service emails such as verification and password reset codes. We do not send marketing email.
3. Who processes it
We share data only with providers that run parts of the Service for us:
- AI generation providers, which receive your prompts and uploads to create videos;
- moderation providers (OpenAI, xAI), which check prompts, images and video frames for prohibited content;
- storage and delivery (Bunny.net) for uploads and generated videos;
- email delivery (Resend);
- payment processors for card and crypto payments.
We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising. We disclose data to authorities when required by law, and we report suspected child sexual abuse material to the relevant authorities.
4. Cookies and local storage
We use one essential cookie to keep you logged in. Your browser's local storage keeps your referral code and traffic source for up to 30 days and a few display settings. We use no advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
5. Retention
We keep your data while your account exists. You can delete individual videos, all your content, or your whole account from your account page. When you delete your account, your content is removed and your account record is anonymized. We keep payment records and moderation records as long as needed for accounting, chargebacks, legal claims and law enforcement requests.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your data, and to object to or restrict its processing. Email legal@freespicy.io from your account email and we will respond within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
7. Security
Data is sent over HTTPS, passwords are stored with Argon2 hashing, and access to our servers is restricted.
8. Children
The Service is for adults 18+ only. We delete accounts we learn belong to minors.
9. Changes
We will post changes here and update the date above.
